Morgan was one of the actors in the documentary film Safe Sex for Men and Women focused on AIDS prevention as well as education. The proceeds from the film went toward the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She is a Member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan is the leader of numerous other fundraisers for the disease and also appeared in front of a specific Congressional panel on AIDS education. She is a member of the Board of Directors for Amfar and the Board of Governors of APLA. C. Everett's former assistant surgeon general asked her occasionally to substitute for him at AIDS awareness events. In addition, she was the host of the AIDS Awareness Special hosted by Steve Bell. Ted Koppell asked her to make appearances on Nightline regarding AIDS. Morgan has received an Emmy nomination for her special episode of Murphy Brown written for her by Diane English. Morgan co-starred on the ABC television series Your Money or Your Wife alongside Joan Rivers. Her summer started by starring in Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. The show included Cindy Williams and Marla Gibbs. Then she starred in Harmony Gold's production Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady, which starred Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan played a part in the psychological thriller made exclusively by the USA Network garnering one of the highest ratings ever recorded by the network's history.
